Thallos, or otherwise the tender branch. This is how it all started, when I was little and spent my summers in Santorini.
My grandfather’s house was my sanctuary from childhood fears and the “rules” of the elders. Every corner of that house created positive feelings in me; as if it was protecting me from everything.
The house that was built in 1955, was always there for me and every year it housed my dreams.
Its aura, the location where it was built, the gentle breeze and the colour of the sun while setting... In their own way, they all contributed and led me to surrender to the energy of that house. Every summer I grew with more freedom, more gratitude and more warmth in my soul.
My zest for life and my dreams also grew as the house was being renovated by my parents, who respectfully preserved the Cycladic architecture best suited to that house and the village where it belonged.
The more beautiful and bigger it became, the more Cycladic and summery form it gave to my inner world and my free spirit.
And to this day, it still does that.
It gives me life and I give it space, substance, love and modern comforts.
Through the renovation that took place, the traditional Greek Cycladic architectural style was preserved and further developed. Together with my partners, we incorporated modern elements in the houses, using natural materials and emphasis was placed on both the exterior and the interior design.
The result is amazing, as a unique composition has been created of shapes and forms, which are in complete harmony with the natural environment.
The caves and the houses above it, are characterized by the white stone that softens the soul and the coolness of the island comes to warm all the ‘wants’.
Upon your arrival here I hope you discover it too and find the calm and warmth that possesses it.
I look forward to meeting you in person!
I am always on the island and personally greet the people who are going to stay in one of the houses. I want you to feel the warm of the house as well as the intimacy that the space can offer.
I am always there to make sure that your stay is exactly as you expected and to inform you about your tours of the beautiful island of Santorini.
Happy is the man, I thought, who, before dying,
has the good fortune to sail the Aegean sea.
